I have tried several Kashi brand food products. I like many of them. Recently, while shopping for a vegan frozen meal for one,y I came across Kashi Mayan Harvest Bake Dinner in the frozen dinners section of my local grocery store. This meal looked interesting. I decided to buy it, try it and write a product review about my experience with it. Here is what I discovered!
While I am not vegan, I have a friend who is. I decided to get a meal that she could eat, since were having a dinner together. Kashi Mayan Harvest Bake Dinner costs around three dollars and fifty cents. It is a single serving meal. This dinner is quite intriguing, I must say. It has sweet potatoes, plantains, kale, seven whole grain pilaf, amaranth, polenta, black beans and spicy ancho sauce. If you are like me, you went huh when you read that. I do not know half of what those ingredients are. I learned that pumpkin seeds are in this meal. Wow. Mind blowing. This dinner is vegan, all natural, protein rich, vitamin rich and rich in fiber. I could not wait to taste it.
This dinner is perfect for microwave cooking and that is how I chose to prepare it. I vented the cover and cooked for seven minutes on high. I then let it stand for three minutes to complete the cooking process. When I uncovered this meal, it looked very good and smelled great. I bought two of these dinners so I could try it with my friend. When I tasted Kashi Mayan Harvest Bake Dinner, I was very surprised. This dish is good! I love sweet potatoes and kale, so this meal was delightful. I also love black beans and was amazed that they went well in this dish. The sauce was very flavorful. This meal is hearty and joy for vegans that love sweet potatoes. My friend adored this dish and said she would be buying it soon. It is hearty and filling. I rate it four stars out of five stars. It is zesty and sassy. Spices like garlic, chili peppers, sesame seeds are in this. Very snappy.
